What am I loving this Thursday besides you?


~Homemade turkey soup and biscuits which turned out fecking awesome if I do say so myself.


~Christmas treats! I have spent the past few weeks plotting what I am making this season. I'm getting excited!


~Music. My friend Claire is has posted about its healing and mood altering abilities and she is SO right.

~My new DS game Cate West Vanishing Files. I picked it up pretty cheap on Black Friday. I just about finished it in a day and played it til my eyes were burning.


~Palm Desert. LOVE LOVE LOVE it there. Thanksgivings there are so great.


~The sentiments on these holiday cards. I'm a big fan of the blunt honesty. They are sold out but I'm not above theft ;)

~This case from ModCloth.
The whole site is pretty cool but I love the graphic on this little pouch. We had a phone just like this growing up. I think my mom was trying to make it as uncomfortable as possible to chat for hours when I was a teenager. =)

In honor of TILT 10 (!) the song I'm loving this week is Just a Little More Love by David Guetta which was a big inspiration for me starting TILTing in the first place.
Drug induced idealism? You bet, but if we aim for the ideal at least we are bringing ourselves a step closer to it. =)

~My boys! I love coming home and seeing them at the door waiting for me. I know its cause they are hungry but they are both sweet and loving in their own ways.

~Ventolin inhalers, my life line for the last few weeks. My great grandfather was so asthmatic that he couldn't even walk in his later years. I know the pharmaceutical industry is full of money grubbing bastards but I. Am. So. Grateful. My life would be very different without these drugs.

~My Volbeat tickets! In my hand!!! Squeee!!!! I have decided that I am going to buy a brand new pair of pink Chuck Taylor's and if I should get the chance to chat with Michael Paulson I will ask him pretty-please to sign them. :) Mobes you WILL make this happen. No pressure tho :)

~The Wicked soundtrack! My friend Claires recent FB status inspired me to pull out the CD and I've been singing along with it in my car for 4 days now. Love it so!  I know from Volbeat to Wicked, I wish it made sense to me too  O.o

~My job! I have never been happier at a job in my WHOLE life and it's not just cause of the amazing pron. :)

~Post Secret I love that people have an outlet for their deepest secrets and fears. You are never alone.

~Being a support to my friends and feeling like I've made a difference. There must have been something in the air this weekend... I got lots of phone calls =/

~Michael Buble~ I love his voice! Haven't Met You Yet is on his latest album and it's the song I'm loving this week! Thank you Kat for getting me hooked on this video. Couldn't you just spread him on a cracker??

November 12, 2009 Veterans day edition!

~This week I am loving all of those who have served or are currently serving our country's military, some of whom I am lucky enough to count among my friends.  I love that we take a moment on Veterans Day to express our gratitude.

~A sink with out any dirty dishes in it.

~Fabulous pep talks, giving and receiving.

~Crunching through leaves I don't have to pick up.

~Sunglasses! Super dark ones (the good kind, not the bad kind) I have pairs stashed all over the house and two extra pairs in my car. I know its no longer summertime but my eyes are so freakin sensitive to light I wear them year round, even if its raining. Love love love!

~Pumpkin cream cheese muffins mmmmm

~Baking for people, I love it I really do.

~Lisa Lichtenfels' amazing fabric sculptures but especially this one. She's a red head, duh, plus she's got sauce. You can just tell!

~The fact that my hubby doesn't mind grocery shopping, or cooking for that matter. Praise Jebus cause we'd starve to death if it was up to me.

~11 Points blog   Because top 10 lists are for cowards. Brought me lots of smiles this week.

~My amazing circle of friends who lift me up and give me the opportunity to let me lift them.

~Volbeat and the fact that by some miracle I am going to see them play in December!!!!!

Had to pick a Volbeat song! This isn't my fave Volbeat song but this vid shows the size crowd they play for overseas. I am seeing them in a venue that holds like 200 people. OMFG. I'm getting SO excited!!!!

~I love being thought of. When people go out of their way to do stuff just for me it always catches me off guard and makes me feel amazing. Thank you Angela for posting a pic of my favorite tree this week! <3

~ My friend John who passed away 5 years ago tomorrow. I miss him dearly and he is never far from my thoughts.

TILT for October 22, 2009

Never too late to spread the love!!

~This week I am loving road trips, apples and crazy adventures. These adventures would not be complete without partners in crime and I am loving them this week too =)

~U2. I have traveled halfway around the world to see them and they never disappoint. Bono is a crazy showman and The Edge is freakishly talented. I love his passion that shines through when you see him perform.

~Halloween! I love my costume this year!  I love going to Halloween parties and seeing the creative stuff people come up with.

~I love my godbabies. I feel honored everyday that their mom and dad asked me to be their godmama and this week I was reminded how much they mean to me and that I would truly do anything for them.

~I love my friends. They are beautiful and loving and support me more than I am even able to tell them.

~Song I'm loving this week. Well there are a few but I've had this one stuck in my head for a few days.

I am loving this set of vintage wedding photographs. If you look close you can see the future in their eyes, if you look closer you can see the past ;)

This Thursday just like every other Thursday and every other day, I am loving my husband. He and I have been married 14 years as of Wednesday.
Its been one hell of a ride and I wouldn't change a second. He helped make and allowed me to become the woman I am today. Which has been one hell of a thing to live through, to be sure.
